Good evening, my artsy readers!
Tonight our topic of discussion is ART.
I mentioned before that I'm a huge fan of anything recycled, reused and reduced (in a good sense, of course), and I strongly believe we are what our environment is, we have yet to learn to protect our Mother Nature from unnecessary stress and avoid damage caused by human consumption and menacing practices.
So, I recently spotted this Texas designer Julie Richey, deeply influenced by the gulf of Mexico oil spill, who created "a figurative dress sculpture hand-crafted out of marble, glass smalti, semi-precious stones, minerals and
seashells. Motifs of seaweed and vegetation embellish the simple form, the hard materials following the gentle curves of the structure, giving the piece a sense of flowing movement."

This is a graceful way to celebrate nature. You're right, re-using, recycling is a beautiful way of preserving materials and crafting the unique. I can't keep my eyes off of this stunning creation of ART! Thank you once again for finding this and sharing! I am a believer in goodness of recycling!
Good luck!
