DIY Christmas Wreath

We are nearly a week away from Christmas, and last minute decorations are underway, so they should be easy yet stunning and unique enough for a personal touch. I wanted to decorate my front door with a fun wreath, however, I didn't want to place just another "classic round furry circle with some red bows" just like the neighbors'...so, I found some inspiration on Etsy, like this Scandinavian-inspired bouquet in a birch vase.

I couldn't find the birch bark to make it exact, also I wanted to quickly create something in time for holidays, so I used an alternative tin container found in Michael's and the project turned out as easy as 1-2-3. It took me literally 30 minutes to complete this project.

Fabric Project No.12. Zebra Silhouette

I must admit this year has been very busy, and I almost neglected my baby blogger project but missed blogging terribly. However, on the positive note, I'm trying to get back on track, create new designs for my wardrobe and update my closet with exciting pieces.
Fabric Project No.12 has been in inception stage for some weeks now. Just recently I visited a fabric store and I got mesmerized by the zebra print I found. I thought, "That would make a cute dress!" You probably know by now that I'm a dress and skirt kinda gal.

Also, being a devoted trend follower, I've been spotting contour dresses left and right, those kind that accentuate women's curves and create an illusion of slimmer silhouette. I've been dreaming about such a dress for some time, so here it is.

The inspiration was Parker Contour Colorblock Dress, originally priced at $320

And here's my tweaked design! I wanted to experiment with shape and add a front cut out detail to increase body consciousness and appeal.
