Hot accessory: The Bucket Bag

Who would have thought the 80s 'bucket bag' has made a come back in a new funky way?
I'm loving The Building Block collection, featuring minimalistic shapes and industrial influences.
Plush leather combined with playful wooden shape trim amaze with its simplicity and fashion appeal.

Trend Radar: Textured Clutch

Fall is just around the corner, and so are galas and events.
I've been on the lookout for accessories trends, especially special occasion purses.
I wanted to find unique, statement clutches that would enhance any outfit.

So, Textured Clutch made it on the trend radar today!
I've found amazing embellished box clutches with embroidery, beading and so on, but these particularly stood my illustrated interpretation.

Dizzy Prints

Being obsessed with texture and anything bright,
I just have to share these dizzy print mash-up images with you.
A collaboration of Papermag and a plethora of textures by famous designers has come to life as an urban-tribal collage of sophistication and individuality. Never mind the mismatched style...

Loving every bit of it...

Trend Radar 2013: Slippers

 Even though slipper trend
has been picked up already by fashion bloggers and shoe manufacturers alike,
it has gone viral for S/S 2013.
Edwardian-era foot wear has never been so charmingly adorable as Stubbs &Wootton  S/S 2013 collection featured on Moda Operandi .
Ah, I would love to own a handmade pair of embroidered velvet or stunning needlepoint in these incredibly bright patterns.

Here's my imaginary shoe closet illustrated with my favorite picks:

Fabric Project No.8 "Exotic Red"

Happy Monday, friends!
I'm excited to unveil #fabricproject No.8!
While peeking into color stories of designers for F/W 2012, I've been noticing splashes of red on the runways, stubbornly bleeding into 2013 trends. So, I need a red dress!
There was another episode that led me to this particular design. A friend recently boasted her fresh wardrobe addition, a Kenneth Cole asymmetric color block dress. I'm a rare visitor at Kenneth Cole stores, however, this dress touched my heart. It's ideal to hide any imperfections.
So, I thought: Why wouldn't I design a similar frock but with a DC2NYCo twist?
And as soon I started sketching, I fell in love even more!

This is the inspiration
Kenneth Cole draped dress $150
Now, see the mood board below, and I'm running to my studio to sew.

Stay tuned for a finished dress!
