Russian Fashion Week has been around for many years and only this year has been officially renamed to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and started featuring not only the top local emerging talent but also some of the internationally famous designers like Costume National. I have been fascinated with some of the Russian designers and I'm sure they conquer the world reputation one day.
Borodulins is one of my favorite brands, who really embrace the rich Russian heritage, and reinvent its elements into new innovative prints and silhouettes. This Spring 2012 collection "Tsar's Daughters" represents black& white and earth tones photo prints of coat of arms and, dare I say, elements of classic art. Very modern appeal..
